
About Odveig Klyve
Odveig Klyve is a Norwegian writer, translator, and film director. She has published eight poetry collections and eight children’s books. Her poetry is translated into several languages.
She has also translated work of the Iranian poet Forugh Farrokhzad, the Palestinian poet Fadwa Tuqan and the English poet. Sarah Maguire. She has written and directed short films presented at international festivals in Europe, USA and India. She now lives in Stavanger at the west coast of Norway.
Now:
Poems from Ballistic were presented at an international poetry festival in Karnataka, India in February 2010. This led to a licensed contract on translating Ballistic into Hindi, to be published at the Indian publisher Kritya. Klyve presented also poems from Ballistic when she was invited to Struga Poetry Nights in Macedonia in august. Ballistic is also represented in The world Poetry Year Book 2010 published in China. Poems from Ballistic was presented at “Bjørnsonfestivalen”- the Norwegian Festival of International Literature in Molde, Norway in August. Klyve will take perform poetry from Ballistic at Kapittel 10, Stavanger International Festival of Literature and Freedom of Speech
